It sounds like this is your first time! Congrats. It's not as hard as people will make it out to be. I was thoroughly intimidated by it, given all the references to it being hard. It seems like every once in a while I'll hear a reference to it, immediately followed up by something like "I had to quit 40 pages in to it."
On topic, I saw on the IS front page that a working knowledge of Hamlet would be beneficial, so I had to do a quick reading of that before we started. Now I'm good to go!
I've got IJ, the OED, a notebook, a reader's guide and all the excitement necessary. I couldn't track down any Book Darts before we got started, so I ordered them from bookdarts.com. If anybody is looking for a way to not have to use highlighters and folded pages, this is a good way to go. They're little flat clasps that you can slide on the edges of pages that won't damage or stain the book.
