Joining this conversation a little late...but I LOVE #2. Is it blasphemy, though, to suggest doing away with the footnote completely? Couple of points: printing on both sides costs more; not sure I really want a shirt advertising Depends. Why not just leave it as YDAU?

I'm really sorry about the tomorrow that turned into a lot of tomorrows.

I've never used any of the online t-shirt fulfillment companies, anyone got any recommendations?

I know Matthew mentioned donating to a to a literacy charity...if it's a bit late to sort something out then I recommend DonorsChoose if you a have spare quid going. The link links straight to literacy themed projects and allows you to donate to the specific projects and needs of state school teachers. The African Library Project also looks good...I'm sure there are loads more.

I bought two (well, IJ is a very long book!) at CafePress.

One has the number of pages, the number of footnotes, and "IJ."

The other has an image of DFW.

And I wasted a lot of time looking over the many t-shirts they sell. Some of them are very funny.
