Infinite Summer

I don't have my book with me, but I noticed last night that in what I believe is the very last ETA scene (describing the boys in the locker room before the big fundraiser) there is a first-person narrator who is NOT Hal. The narrator mentions Hal in a third-person sense, talking about him put his hands on the trainer's shoulders as his tape is applied. I tried to deduce by the character's mentioned who the narrator could be (possibly Troeltsch, who loves to do play-by-play), but I didn't tried that hard. I also wondered if it might be some sort of disembodied narration from Hal, as his body seems to respond less and less to his intentions. I'm sure other people have thought about this more. What's going on here?

I wondered who the narrator was as well. I skimmed it a couple of times trying to figure out which ETA player isn't mentioned, thinking that would be the narrator, but everyone seems to be metioned. I keep meaning to go back and read it more closely but haven't gotten around to that yet.

I'm pretty sure it just switches back to the third person narration that was always used before Hal's first person narration started.

It can't be that, because the narrator often uses pronouns like "we" and "us".

For example: "Usually while they're arrive and greeted by Tavis we're all down in the lockers..."

or

"A couple of us remarked how Hal wasn't eating the usual customary Snickers bar or AminoPal."

So it has to be one of the other students in the locker room.

I thought maybe Axford? Or is he mentioned and I just didn't notice?

I assumed it was a collective ETA students' voice.
