I'm 43 and I'll turn 44 before I finish reading IJ this summer. This is my second reading.

I'm 23. I just graduated from Uni and need something unrelated to business to fill my plate for a while. I've never read IJ but I'm trying to christen my new Kindle (graduation gift) with this. I'm looking forward to a summer of great reading.

49 (god, did I just say that?!) and I'm on my 4th read. Read it first when it came out in 1995 or 96...whenever it was. I love this book.

I think the 16-18 year olds will totally relate to Hal and all he goes through. Enjoy it!

I think I'm the oldest guide, at 45. I'm glad high school students are doing this, I remember being nudged at that age into a big Russian lit phase and it made me love big books. No, you might not have the life experience to get it all, but that just makes it a richer experience when you read the same book again in ten or twenty years.

I am 41 y/o. This is my first read of DFW. I read a book review many years ago and tucked away the thought that I need to read this author's books. I was reminded of him when I read the article of his passing in Rolling Stone magazine and decided to pick up Infinite Jest from the local library. When I realized the library loaned book would incur a huge fine if I kept it the needed time to read it I picked up a personal copy. Good on all who are involved in the Infinite Summer. I am looking forward to reading posts over the next few months.
