Infinite Summer

I already have the book, but was looking for something more portable.

This occurred to me also, as I too have the book from when I read it years upon years ago. My only concern about attempting to read it in a format other than in a printed book would be how accessible the Endnotes would be.

Perhaps if there was a format where the Endnotes were a separate book file, so that when you wanted to leap out of the main text you would load up the Endnotes file, and then jump back to the main text file when you were done. Kind of a digital parallel to the two-bookmark system, although I don't know how fast the load times would be for that, nor do I know how manipulable the ebook files are for people to tweak to their enjoyment.

And on the other hand, I remember enjoying the fact that in order to read it I had to lug the damn thing around with me everywhere - some sort of penance for the opportunity to enjoy something so good.

Clicking on the endnote will take you to the note and back to the text. I'm not sure I will read the whole thing on my phone, but like having another option.

Thank you for the info, re: e-reader. I downloaded the book onto my Storm. I still plan on mostly reading it the old fashioned way, but it's good to have it on the Blackberry for those times when lugging the book isn't practical.
