The only thing I have to add re: DFW's attention to detail is that a few movies didn't compute in length. For instance: "Kinds of Light" is listed at 3 minutes long but 4,444 individual frames. Film is normally shot and projected at 24 frames per second (with the exception of slo-mo or fast motion). At this rate, 24 frames per second times 60 seconds per minute times 3 minutes should equal 4320 frames. Not 4444. You are all allowed to shoot me now for being an uber-nerd. |

A little joke in the filmography is the character/actress Soma Richardson-Levy-O'Byrne-Chawaf, who keeps getting married again and extending her hyphenated name. |

Rrose Selavy (hah! great reference!), Latrodectus mactans is the black widow spider. (I didn't have to look it up; yes, I am a spider geek!) |

Did you notice the LARGE ORANGE BANNER at the top of the page? I recommend you reread it so it is very clear. Please please, keep spoilers in the general discussion forum. I was looking forward to finding out if/who's skull gets dug up, enjoying each new char introduction and considering Hamlet tie-ins. That's one connection I guess I can cross off my list. [/quote] Hal mentioned digging up his father's head on p.17. |

I think that endnote 24 is just pure hilarity throughout. Being a huge cinephile doesn't hurt, but I actually laughed out loud at most of the titles and descriptions, and on the train at that. |
