Dumb question—how does this scene relate to Hamlet? [Have read Hamlet several times so don't worry about spoiling the most famous thing ever written.] |

one thing i was thinking about today re: endnote 24 since it is a filmography written by ??? (don't have my copy in front of me to check) the key words of 'delusion' and 'pretending' are the author / film critic's interpretation of the short so it certainly does not mean that Himself was delusional or that Hal was really speaking...just the viewers response. Much like you and I in this thread... Any number of us could / have had the same response from the chapter so it tells us nothing? I was thinking about i read last night where DWF comments on the end notes as: “almost like having a second voice in your head.” it also makes me think of the post today on the main page, about looking for a key, or clues to unlock to the story. in someways i think i should stop over analyzing and just read the damn thing. i am one date ahead but now i just want to go back and reread what i have already read. sometimes i think i should just shut up and finish the book then go back... i am close to a 1/10th of the way through the book but it is almost all i think about... |
