Incontinence seems to be a reccurent motive throughout the whole book. This observation surely is no big deal, I wonder why nobody has brought it up yet. - they all suffer from it. Or perhaps, don't suffer, in case reading incontinence as openness is not too simplistic. Any thoughts? |

There's a reason most of the action takes place in the Year of the Depend Adult Undergarment. More to the point, we get a lot of infants, adults acting like infants, and feral infants in this book, and scatology is just a big part of thinking about the distinction between infantile and adult. |
