According to the original reading schedule we should be up to 93 today so I hope this is apropriate. Well just to be safe I will refrain from specifics. Anyway footnote 39 part b references footnote 304. So does that mean we should read 304 now or wait the several hundred pages until it comes up in the text. Just curious...

Even though footnote 304 is particularly long, it's worth skimming though at least, because it features some background info on the Wheelchair Assassins.

I had that same question, but went ahead and read it.

I can tell you that it stars a character that you don't really know yet (but meet shortly after in the text), but it doesn't reveal anything of import about that character as far as I can tell.

I thought it was very informative and gave me a better appreciation of the wheel chair assassins.

I say read away. It's not like IJ is some tightly- contructed mystery that
will unravel before your eyes. In fact, I have found no less than 20 things on each page I've misssed
in every reading. The CULT OF THE LAST TRAIN is so out there it just keeps popping back into my head...
And Jim Struck who is using it to do his post"midterm" term paper..
more manana.

I agree - go ahead and read it now. I passed on it the first time we were referred to it then read the discussion thread of it over on the General Discussion board. So I read it last night and was glad I did - it does help to explain some things and I found it quite funny too. Joan

Thanks for raising this topic. I had the same question. No I have another 8 pages to read. Will I ever get to be on schedule?
