It feels weak but I find I need to look up some of the words he uses. I had to do that when reading, The Road also. Perhaps I don't know the language as well as I think. :oops:

Hi Arlo. We'll be doing a weekly vocabulary dump, probably on Sundays. I invested in a highlighter for this express purpose.

No shame. My first time through, to my growing amusement as I read, I had a copy of the OED handy.

Bugger, my electronic dictionary's just broken. It's a useful thing though, if I flick through a hard copy I always get distracted...it's a read in itself.

If all this fails I do have a nice set of the OED at my work. I am very glad these links are here as well though.
