Infinite Summer

I'm in for Boston, living just down the road a piece from St. Elizabeth's. I read that section on "Brighton Projects" and just trying to imagine where they'd be. (or are? I have no idea, i don't think BC dorms count.)

Bostonians: anyone have a good spot in mind for a meeting, a place of relative quiet, preferably one that serves or stocks beer? particular times/dates you'd think would work?

This is weird maybe, but I'll be in Boston around early/mid August, which is when I'll move there for the foreseeable future. So would it be alright if I joined in on your meet ups then? For now I'll be haunting the Chicago Jest joints, so maybe I can bring some distinctly Midwestern perspective to the coast, and maybe in return you all can point me toward some real-life IJ landmarks?

Not sure if anyone is looking at this section anymore but I am trying to arrange a meet-up in the Boston area. I'm working mostly on the facebook infinite summer forum page but can post info here too. We right now seem to be looking at somewhere on the weekend of either the 3rd or 4th week of July. This will give us enough time to dig in and do some reading and get a map for the Boston locales set up.

We are thinking of meeting in Union Square in Somerville (maybe for brunch or breakfast at either Neighborhood or Bloc 11 Cafe) and then head on out from there.

What I would love to see is an IJ national type of convention/finale party on September 22nd. Boston would be a pretty obvious choice for a location. Arizona less so, but maybe an easier rallying point for west coast readers. Maybe it could be some kind of simultaneous party in parallel, with video-feed running between the two that we'd eventually just stop using, because it was making us self-conscious and stuff.

We should totally get Depend to sponsor it, because this is their year, after all.
