and read it again. I didn't make it more that a few hours after I finished before I was back at it.

Same here. I've even consulted a reader's guide while I'm reading. It's interesting that knowing what's coming in no way diminishes the experience. Do you find that so?

I haven't finished yet, am pretty much on schedule, but fully believe I will almost immediately turn back to the first page and start again!

It's actually been five years since my first read though there are certain passages I've reread in the interim. I've been meaning to reread for sometime and fortunately Infinite Summer came along to provide the impetus to begin again though after finishing my initial read I immediately reread the first section dealing with Hal's admission interview. I've been a serious Wallace junkie since then and have read all of his work escept Everything and More.

This time through has been more rewarding but sadder knowing the years of torment that led up to Wallace's death and now realizing the degree to which that torment was reflected in his writing. See pp. 692-698 dealing with Kate Gompert's depression which I found incredibly disturbing five years ago and devasting when I read through it again last night.

I really got into it after about 100 pages, and I am going to reread it soon. I know I didn't catch everything. . .so I have to go back.

I read it once in '98 and again about five years later (though I skipped the Eschaton on the second read) and wasn't planning to read it this summer...but I re-read "A Supposedly Fun Thing.." and "Consider the Lobster" early in the summer and was reading some of the posts here and got sucked in again...
