Apologies if it is a duplicate, but I was rather touched by this article, which was the first time I understood the circumstances behind DFW's death. It was this article that inspired me to start re-reading IJ, then to do a Twitter search, and then find I.S. online
It is a fairly length article (ie/ best cut and paste the text from a single page view - but worth the read!)
http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2009 ... a_fact_maxIt is a general overview of Wallace's life and the struggles of writing fiction again. But on re-reading it, there are some extracts from certain characters at different points of the novel. So yes, some spoiler potential.
Also worth reading are the questions to the author of this article. Quite touching some them.
