Groovy. I am not very good at organizing things, but we can figure something out. I read Broom of the System a few months ago, and I am pretty pumped to start IJ. |

me too: not awesome at organizing stuff. I'm going to try and recruit a few people I know who might be into this. maybe we'll pick up some admin-style talent.  i'd personally favor meeting in the city as opposed to east bay. (easy to train or bart to). ? about DWF's stuff: i haven't read 'Broom,' but I've been reading the essays and 'The Girl with the Curious Hair.' |

Hi all, Funny I should run across this, a few friends and I have started organizing an SF meetup and you are more than welcome to attend! We're having our first meeting on June 23rd at 6:30pm at Shotwell's in the Mission. As all the people in the group are in San Francisco, and our goal is to meet every two weeks at a different bar in the Mission or Haight. Also in the south bay but frequent the haight/mission so this is perfect for me. Won't be able to attend as well but for sure signing up for the mailing list. |

Our first meetup was great! Met a bunch of new people, old friends and a veritable gaggle of DFW fans Update: Our next meeting is on Tuesday, July 7th and we'll be meeting at Homestead (2301 Folsom St bet 19th and 20th) at 6:30pm. Looking forward to seeing you then! |
