So I set up a separate Boston location meet up.

I am working on the facebook forum and this forum to set up a Boston area meet up to both discuss IJ and to take some photographs are of the various Boston locales listed in IJ.

We right now are looking at the 3rd or 4th weekend of July to meet in Somerville for coffee or breakfast and head out from there. I've got some time right now and am willing to do research and set up maps up of the locations.

If interested or if anyone has questions please email me at garbothecat666@gmail.com. And this is prior to coffee this morning so if anything is typed or spelled incorrectly I apologize :)

Anne

Hi Anne -- I'll check on the FB Boston page -- I'd love to do this.

So garbothecat e-mailed me that real life has gotten too busy for her to organize any sort of Boston get-together. I'd still like to meet with other Boston area readers for coffee, discussion, similar to the groups in DC and Greenwich Village that meet every week or so.
I live about 40 miles outside of the city, but if we could find somewhere right off the T, that would be great. Any of you guys interested that live/work in the city and could suggest a coffee shop/bookstore where we could hang out for a few hours in the evening? I love the Diesel Cafe in Davis Square, but it can be pretty crowded, so if anyone has any suggestions, I'm game.
Let's get together, guys! We're almost halfway through this thing!

I would definitely be interested in a Boston meet up as well.

Have there been any meet-ups? I think, given the location of the book, we should be the meeting leaders. I think Bukowski's is a natural place to meet, given the one in Back Bay has a big sign "Dead Author's Club". But, as much of the book takes place in Cambridge, the Bukowski's in Inman Square is also a solid option. Give me an email at anthony.m.accardo@gmail.com and we'll set something up.

I think it would be great to meet up with fellow Infinite Jest readers to discuss the book. Anyone up for Thursday, August 27 at 6:30 pm at Kingston Station in downtown Boston? We could grab a drink and air our thoughts/opinions of the book.
