Infinite Summer

So, in endnote 24, there's a section where each word of the title of one of the films has a superscripted 1 next to it, much like a footnote. However, there were no actual footnotes related to it. The titles of the films also started running into and over whatever word came after. I thought it was just the cheeky pretentiousness of the films, but then I saw it happen again on page 82.

I thought it might refer back to endnote 1, but endnote one is the chemical name of crystal meth, so I'm at a loss.

Anyone care to explain what this means?

Mine doesn't have that. I think mine's 1st edition. Maybe yours is Lithuanian bootleg?

I've got the same thing. I think it's a misprint because later in those endnotes, there is some overlapping text. I think someone goofed.

Yeah I think this is a printing error in some versions of the 10th anniversary paperback. Mine has it in end-note 24 as well as in a couple other spots, always next to italicized words.

There seem to be a few printing problems in this 2006 paperback edition. Mine does have this problem on p. 990, and others have posted about it in different threads.

I'm just glad I wasn't so completely lost that I just "didn't get" these mysterious numbers and correlate their meaning.
