A big THANK YOU to OneBigParty for picking up that Madame Psychosis sounds like metempsychosis, a term used in Ullysses - Molly Bloom has an interest in the word when she reads it in a pornographic novel and Leopold has to explain it to her. I've been picking up many nods to Joyce but missed that one.

Can you share any of them with us?:)
Thanks OneBigParty, BTW.

Someone might have mentioned this already, but re metempsychosis I read in an obit that DFW and his mom used to read Ulysses together when he was a kid. People who love this book rave about it in terms that perfectly describe my feelings for Ulysses, which is I think the only reason I'm able to stick with this book so far!
