I don't know if this goes to Daily Discussion forum or to the question forum. I'll post here anyways.
Pg. 194 :
When Don Gately was in the very early part of his Ennet House residency he almost got discharged for teaming up with a bad-news methedrine addict from New Bedford and sneaking out after curfew across the E.M.P.H.H. complex in the middle of the night to attach big sign on narrow front door o Unit #2's methadone clinic.
Have we met the methedrine addict from New Bedford before ?

No, I'm pretty sure we haven't. And anyway, she dies before the bulk of this story so far takes place (p 195-196).
But it's funny how the intertwining and overlapping storylines keep you on your toes like this, isn't it? You never know if an offhand mention of a seemingly unimportant character is going to come back in some other section. For me that's been one of the most fun parts about the book.
