I've got both the 1st edition hardcover and the 1996 paperback and I think if I remember correctly the changes were very slight and did not really change much at all. IIRC changes were more about dates and the like...

But I will look through both of them and also do some online research and see if I can get you a definite answer.

if i had known likely i would have started with the paperback.

i'll simply read the paperback next time around, although there will be much more i would pick up from the reread than the discrepancies i imagine.
