Masks are used in IJ. Don Gately was wearing a mask when he helped Hal dig up himself's head. Masks were used in Greek dramas to show the emotions of the actor. ...?

I'm not sure about this, but I think masks were used in Greek drama to hide the idenity of the actor.

masks in ancient Greek drama also had, essentially, small megaphones built into them to help with projecting the voice in those amphitheatres, which isn't entirely off-point if we look at these as early forms of amplification and transmission that parallel, for example, the veiled Madame Psychosis broadcasting her radio show or the mask's place in the videotelephony boom and bust.
