Has anyone else noticed the striking similarities between Wallace's fatally-engrossing Entertainment, and the ? I can't believe I haven't made this connection until now but it's amazing when you put the two side-by-side -- I get into it a little bit . And it seems like a lot of the situational humor in IJ is similar to stuff you'd see in Monty Python -- the bricklayer's story, some of Himself's gimmicky films. I can't find anything anywhere on how much of a Python fan Wallace was but the connection seems pretty undeniable -- are there any other particularly Python-esque situations that have popped up in IJ so far?
