I just got my copy of Infinite Jest today. I could have kissed my mailman when he handed it to me this morning. I have known about this book for years. But never had a good reason to read it. I am so happy to be participating in this little literary activity this is going to be a great summer. Thanks for the suggestion.

And in case anyone is on Live Journal, we created a community there, too. Infsum. I only wish we got the book in often enough my the used shop I work at that I could bother saying HEY! We have it! It was hard enough to get a copy for myself.

Hang on… Monday to Friday only? What happens at weekends? You’re leaving us on our own? A first-time reader might get stuck in a double-nested endnote, trying to work out whether the Year of the Perdue Wonder Chicken comes before or after the Year of the Whisper-Quiet Maytag Dishmaster.
