I just found this site by pure luck. Oddly enough I am in recovery, and reading this book, self-motivated, this summer, the summer of my sanity returning. At the beginning of this summer two things were seemingly impossible tasks: 1. Staying Clean and 2. Finishing the Book.

I found this site because I was wondering if anyone else Out There was wandering what the heck DFW is talking about in the first 200 or so pages. LIke a slow, drunken polaroid it comes into foci and the interrelated sub-sub-sub-plots and tangental references start to make sense and congeal like not so much formerly liquified jello in my refrigerated head.

Glad to see other literary geeks are into this too!

Since I am 150+ pages behind the pack I have a lot of late night page thumping to do. Look for more as I get up to speed...

I sent the InfSumNYC Twitter page a tweet (I still feel funny using Twitter lingo and probably use it wrong) in June asking about flexibility with the meet up times but never heard back from you guys. I'd just suggest that there be some discussion on when to meet, because some people (me) have to work pretty late but don't want to miss out on the group. I only know one person who gets out of work early enough to be somewhere at 6pm, and actually, she goes to the group. I just think it would be cool to have had some input into the meeting times because I would have liked to have joined in..
